There Will Be Tears in Heaven by Nathele Graham

WHY DIDN’T I TELL YOU?
By Nathele Graham

I knew that, like me, you were a sinner in need of Grace. Why didn’t I tell you?
I knew that sin, no matter how small, cannot enter Heaven. Why didn’t I tell you?
I knew that you were searching, in need of peace. Why didn’t I tell you?
I knew that eternity is forever. Why didn’t I tell you?
I knew that we can choose where we spend eternity. Why didn’t I tell you?
I knew that all roads do not lead to Heaven. Why didn’t I tell you?
I knew that if there was any other way of Salvation, Jesus wouldn’t have had to die on the cross. Why didn’t I tell you?
I knew that Jesus chose to die on the cross for me….and you. Why didn’t I tell you?
I knew that you had to accept that free gift which God gave us in order to be saved. Why didn’t I tell you?

But now here I am in the presence of God Almighty but I don’t know where you are. I was going to tell you tomorrow, but there are no more tomorrows for me or for you. You’re not here, didn’t anyone tell you? Oh, dear God, forgive me. Why didn’t I tell you?

Yes, there will be tears in Heaven.

  1. The scripture is clear that there will be no tears in Heaven. Rev. 7:17 "And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes." If we had to spend an eternity feeling that we had failed God somehow then it would not be Heaven. If you remember the story of Lazarus in Luke 16:19-31, the rich man is suffering in Hades and asks Abraham if he can go back to warn his brothers about hell. Abraham replies to him "If they did not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead." Luke 16:31, NIV Our responsibility is to tell others of Christ's forgiveness but God also gives us all equal opportunity as spelled out in Romans 1:20, "For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities--his eternal power and divine nature--have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse." His shows Himself in General Revelation (nature) and Special Revelation (His Holy Word).
