Unconditional covenants made by God with Israel 526-1 - 1 - 8

There are several unconditional covenants made by God with Israel of which the Abrahamic and Davidic covenants are only two. Israel was to be obedient to the commands of God and often failed. God never abandoned Israel, nevertheless, Israel lost God's blessings for periods of time.
The Abrahamic Covenant: Genesis 17:7-8, "7 And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee. 8 And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God." Through the false doctrine of Replacement Theology, the RCC is claiming that the unconditional covenants given to Israel are now for Christianity.
The Land Covenant: In Genesis 15 God instructed Abram to construct an offering and then caused Abram to enter a deep sleep. God foretold of the time that the Israelites would be strangers in a land not theirs, however, when they would come out of a period of enslavement they would be given an unconditional title to land as described in verse 18 through 21. This unilateral land covenant granted to Israel is being challenged by the UN.
The Davidic Covenant: Nathan the prophet told King David God’s unconditional covenant. 2 Samuel 7:12, “And when thy days be fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, I will set up thy seed after thee, which shall proceed out of thy bowels, and I will establish his kingdom.” 2 Samuel 7:16, “And thine house and thy kingdom shall be established for ever before thee: thy throne shall be established forever.”
The Everlasting Covenant: God promised Isaac in Genesis 26:3-4, "Sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee; for unto thee, and unto thy seed, I will give all these countries, and I will perform the oath which I sware unto Abraham thy father; And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed." And yet many throughout the planet conspire to eradicate Israel.
Church Covenant: We believers have a new and unconditional covenant which is our justification by the shed blood of Jesus and his proclamation that “It is finished.” We believers are to look up as our redemption draws near.
What are the implications for us, as Christians today? Genesis 12:3, “And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.” There are voices “crying in the wilderness” that is present day America such as Messianic Rabbi Jonathon, however, few listen. Rather most are doing “what is right in their own minds.”
I have posted any number of times concerning God’s dropping of the hedge of protection that is been around the United States since its inception. We have been a longtime supporter of Israel though lukewarm at times. When we act against the interests of Israel we pay for it. The election of President Trump as POTUS will perhaps provide time for our country to return to God.

Ezekiel 38 and 39, headlines lining up with the Bible plus God jealous for His Holy Name 521-2 - 19 - 1

Our world seems to be on a downhill slide to the events prophesied in Ezekiel chapters 38 and 39. Just a few resent news stories:
“Putin asked Assad to step down”
Russia setting up a proxy in Syria?
“When Russia's money runs out, the 'real trouble starts'”
Ezekiel 38:12, Russia to “take a spoil?”
Prior to the Gog Magog war I would expect two major prophecies to be fulfilled. Isaiah 17:1, “The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.” In error I expected the destruction of Damascus by Israel three years ago when the Damascus military was mixing chemical weapons that had a 60 day shelf life.
Psalm 83:13-15, “O my God, make them like a wheel; as the stubble before the wind. 14 As the fire burneth a wood, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire; 15 So persecute them with thy tempest, and make them afraid with thy storm.” So “stubble before the wind.” The destruction of Damascus?
Psalm 83 is predictive of a future war between Israel and the “inner circle,” her enemies that border her. Bill Salus has written and held seminars on this subject.
Israel will defeat the inner circle of her enemies and then dwell in peace. In peace until the Gog and Magog war. The Gog Magog War will involve Israel’s “outer ring” countries, those not sharing a border with Israel. Here God will supernaturally defeat Israel’s “outer ring” enemies.
There is great interest in Ezekiel chapters 38 and 39 even by people who know little of Bible prophecies because Ezekiel seems to describe a nuclear confrontation. Thousands of years ago the procedure for identifying hazardous radiation materials and the proper disposal of same was dictated by God Himself.
God is jealous for His Holy Name. In chapter 36, famously known as the Valley of dry bones, God breaths life into Israel and brings her back to her covenant land for His namesake.
Ezekiel 36:23, “And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the Lord, saith the Lord God, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.” [KJV]
Sanctify is a verb that includes To consecrate, sanctify, prepare, dedicate, be hallowed, be holy and set apart. The heathen refers to the Nations (non-Hebrew) and also to a swarm of locusts. [Strong’s]
God keeps His Unconditional Covenants with his chosen people, else He would be a capricious God. With thanks to CM, these include:
The Abrahamic Covenant: Genesis 1 7:7-8
The Land Covenant: Genesis 15:18-21
The Davidic Covenant: 2 Samuel 7:16
The Everlasting Covenant: Genesis 26:3-4
As an aside, God is jealous of His name as Creator. Romans Chapter 1 shares the price paid for denying God as Creator and worshiping at the altar of the theory of evolution. I remember reading in the mid-80s of some dreaded unknown disease spreading across the world. Aids, the price of Homosexuality, was ultimately traced back to an individual man who was a steward on international flights.
Romans 1:25-26, “25, Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. 26, For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature” [KJV]

Why does God judge nations on the basis of their dealings with Israel? Do you think this still applies today? Why? 521-2 - 13 - 2

Ezekiel 36:23, “And I will sanctify (H6942) my great name, which was profaned among the heathen (H1471), which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen (H1471) shall know that I am the LORD, saith the Lord GOD, when I shall be sanctified (H6942) in you before their eyes.” God is jealous of his name.

God has four Unconditional Covenants with his chosen people:

The Abrahamic Covenant: Genesis 1 7:7-8

The Land Covenant: Genesis 15:18-21

The Davidic Covenant: 2 Samuel 7:16

The Everlasting Covenant: Genesis 26:3-4

And yes, this still applies today. In recent years we in the United States have had a number of warnings or “shakings” to quote Messianic Rabbi Jonathon Cain. There are voices “crying in the wilderness” that is present day America, however, few listen. Rather most are doing “what is right in their own minds,” filling their inherent spiritual gap with the untempered mortar of sinful behavior.

I have posted any number of times concerning God’s dropping the hedge of protection that is been around the United States since its inception. We have been a longtime supporter of Israel though lukewarm at times. When we act against the interests of Israel we pay for it. Perhaps the best recent illustration of this was during the withdrawal from Gaza. The Israeli settlers were removed from Gaza and in the United States people had to evacuate due to hurricane Katrina.

Again and again the POTUS and his minions fail to support/undermine Israel in her right to the land deeded to her by God in His unconditional covenant and so much for His hedge of protection. Isaiah 5:5, “And now go to; I will tell you what I will do to my vineyard: I will take away the hedge thereof, and it shall be eaten up; and break down the wall thereof, and it shall be trodden (H4823) down:”

In the last few weeks Israel has been in a violent struggle with Hamas who has fired thousands of rockets into Israel from Gaza, recall the ill-fated Gaza withdrawal and our reward of Hurricane Katrina.. The residents of Israel have seconds to run for cover from the incoming missiles. Israel’s iron Dome has been likened to the hand of God protecting Israel and has done an exemplary job. Israel is now very involved in a ground offensive to wipe out missal
launching sites and tunnels used by the terrorists. Israel is being criticized for not responding proportionately to Hamas. If while it is true that many more have been killed in Gaza than Israel, it must be remembered who started firing the rockets and who uses human shields to protect those rockets.

List and discuss the four unconditional covenants God has made with Israel and the challenges to each covenant.534-2 - 15-2

With thanks to CM, The Four Unconditional Covenants:
1. The Abrahamic Covenant is the basis of all our privileges and is being challenged by the world
2. The Land Covenant is being challenged by Islam
3. The Davidic Covenant is being challenged by most churches!
4. The Everlasting Covenant is with Israel and yet is being claimed by churches
The Abrahamic Covenant has seven “I will” statements by God:
1) And I will make of thee a great nation.
2) And I will bless thee
3) And make thy name great
4) And thou shalt be a blessing
5) And I will bless them that bless thee
6) And curse him that curseth thee
7) And in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
The first four “I will” statements apply to Israel. “I will” 5-7 deals will those who bless or curse Israel. The United States has long been blessed by God due to our support of Israel. Each day it seems like our administration in the U.S. specifically and the non-Muslim world in general is becoming more anti-Semitic.
The Land Covenant is being challenged by Islam; however, non-Islamic countries are supporting their false claim. Even within the Christian community there is a call for a two state solution and a relinquishing of part of Jerusalem to the Muslims. All I can say is that God will not like this. God gave this land to Israel and it is theirs period, end of discussion.
The Davidic Covenant is being challenged by most churches mostly due to a weak Hermeneutics which leads one to an allegorical hermeneutic which in turn will tend one toward Amillennialism. No thousand year reign implies no Millennium Kingdom and therefore, no Davidic Covenant.
Again a weak Hermeneutics leads to the claim by churches that the Everlasting Covenant God made with Israel has passed to them though Replacement Theology:
1. Israel forfeited her promises when she rejected her Messiah
2. The promises to Abraham passed to the Church
3. All the Old Testament covenants were conditional
The Bible deals with primarily with Israel so perhaps it's time that the mainstream clergy engage in an in-depth Bible study including the Old Testament. In my opinion, something dark is transpiring with the Roman Catholic Church as it moves towards an "understanding" with Islam. Add to the mix Protestant pastors such as Rick Warren hyping Chrislam; is a one church in the fairly near future? In the final analysis, God will have the last word. One distorts his Word at his/her own peril. And this is likely even more true of the clergy who are leading millions of people through the wide gate to destruction and marginalizing those going through the narrow gate.
