Among Christians, what is the most common heresy regarding the nation Israel? Explain its source and its dangers. BIB 534-1 - 4-1

I’ve written so many times about Replacement Theology that this post could practically write itself. Replacement Theology is the heresy that since Israel rejected Jesus all of her Covenant(s) with God passed to the Christian Church. This of course is pure nonsense because God has an eternal covenant with Israel. As for the source of Replacement Theology, I would suggest that most of the credit goes to the Roman Catholic Church. Unfortunately, the hero of the Reformation was also known for his Anti-Semitism stance. As for the dangers of Replacement Theology, today is International Holocaust Remembrance Day. Six million Jews exterminated while the world stood by.

To quote Israel PM Benjamin Netanyahu from his Facebook Wall today, “Anti-Semitism has not disappeared and – to our regret – neither has the desire to destroy a considerable part of the Jewish People and the State of Israel. They exist and they are strong.”

“I wonder if God has forgiven those in this country who stood by and did nothing as millions were exterminated. BTW, this includes those professing to be Christians while rejecting the people who gave us our Messiah. Obama has started once more on the manta of the so called "Two state solution." Add to that Obama's Secretary of Defense Nominee, Chuck Hagel. I've written before about America reaping what she sows when sticking her finger in the God's eye.”

I hope that I am counted worthy enough to be a watchman on the wall and support God’s chosen people at every opportunity. The United States put enormous pressure on Israel to withdraw from settlements in Gaza and along came Katrina. Before that there was the Madrid Peace Process, and along came “The Perfect Storm" in 1991.
In Googling both “Madrid Peace Process the perfect storm sallycp” and “Gaza Katrina sallycp” there were six and ten 10 references to my blog respectfully.
God will protect and take care of Israel; however, I’m concerned that the United States is under well-deserved judgment by God and He has dropped His hedge of protection.
